Melissa Stanley of Niche Realty seems to be representing some pretty neat homes in the 60647 area. This time around she has a two-flat at 2837 North Central Park Avenue that has hit the market for $375,000.

Each unit in the building has 3 beds and 1 bath and comes with a two-car garage, backyard, and is situated close to the Blue line. Each unit is already tenant occupied with a first floor that has already been remodeled while the second floor needs some work.

New Bang Bang Pie Shop Opening in Lincoln Square

Lovers of the food at Bang Bang Pie in Logan Square will rejoice to hear that owner Michael Ciapciak is opening another shop in Lincoln Square and it could be open as early as May!

The Lincoln Square location would take the place of what used to be Dolce Casa located at 4947 N. Damen Avenue and in this article for the Chicagoist, explains that although it will serve many of the popular dishes they are known for in Logan, this shop will have its own unique flair. They will have their own specialized pot pies and biscuit specials but still keep that humble and comfortable atmosphere.

The Ultimate Restaurant for Fry Lovers

Who doesn’t like fast food? They tend to have flavors that are addicting and give us the kind of comfort that keeps us coming back. Small Fry, a restaurant specializing in various types of french fries will be opening in Logan Square on 2491 N. Milwaukee Avenue in April.

Customers can look forward to enjoying cool ranch fries, ramen seasoning-flavored fries, cheddar dust and more! In order to get the flavoring on and just right, the fries will be fried, wait for it, THREE times. Apart from America’s favorite side, Small Fry will also be serving up burgers, veggie burgers, and chicken thigh sandwiches and everything on the menu will be $10 or less.

Karaoke Underground Makes Its Way to Logan Square

Karaoke Underground, the loud and eccentric traveling karaoke for indie and punk fans is making it’s way to Chicago this Thursday at Township in Logan Square, located at 2200 North California Avenue.

The organizers have pledged to provide a song list that is so unique, you will likely never be able to find them anywhere else. Tickets are $5 and Math Patrol will kick off the show at 8pm which will then turn into Karaoke Underground. For more information on their full list of songs, visit this page.

Expansion on the Horizon for East Room

East Room in Logan Square is looking to expand in addition to wanting a late night liquors license according to this article on DNAinfo by Paul Biasco.

Just this past Monday they received construction permits to rehab the building along with it’s second floor that may cost up to $200,000. The second floor is believed to be used for another tavern when the renovation is complete.

Midwestern Restaurant Coming to Armitage Avenue

Previous Nightwood cook Jason Vincent announced that he will be opening a restaurant this spring in Logan Square on the city’s foodie little strip on Armitage Avenue. It will be located at 3209 West Armitage, taking over the spot that used to be Begin Thai.

The restaurant will be called Giant and will feature elevated Midwestern dishes. Ben Lustbader also from Nightwood and Josh Perlman will also be joining Vincent on his new endeavor.
