Cafe Con Leche – beloved brunch spot
Cafe Con Leche is one of my favorite breakfast burrito’s in the city. Add avocado and turkey sausage and it’s a dream come true. Oh and don’t forget your Cafe Con Leche with a shot of goodness in it. I’ll definitely be going back to try their dinner menu. http://www.denochemexicana.com/
The Native Opens in Place of Old Bonny’s
The Native, located at 2417 N. Milwaukee, now occupies what used to be the late-night dive bar Bonny’s. Although it doesn’t have a 4am liquor license or dance floor, it does have a charm of its own. Inspired by Wisconsin supper clubs, the new bar is more of a place to enjoy beer, with ten on tap and about 25 bottled beers. The Native has a shuffle-type bowling game, 50-seat patio ready to be open in the spring, and a puppy named Dolly, belonging to the owners Jared and Carly Savocchi, to great you when you enter. With all the hustle and bustle in Logan Square, this might just be exactly what the neighborhood needs.

Possible Affordable Housing Development Coming to Logan Square
On top of the developments already under construction in our beloved Logan Square, the popular neighborhood could be looking at another complex really close to the Kedzie Blue Line station. According to this story on Curbed Chicago, the plan for a transit oriented that calls for 100% affordable housing, has been proposed by the United Neighbors of the 35th Ward. The new construction would be situated on Emmett Street in what is currently a parking lot near the Blue Line Station.
“The hypothetical scenarios featured proposals with a mix of uses, such as market rate housing, affordable housing, retail space, and park space. Developers who participated on a panel suggested that the focus should be on density and retail space while residents voted in favor of providing new green space and affordable housing,” says AJ Latrace.
