During Tuesday’s election, a referendum was posed to residents of the 32nd ward which includes Bucktown, Logan Square, and portions of Lincoln Square. It asked if the alderman of the ward (Scott Waguespack) should pursue zoning policies that would basically protect the historic/vintage buildings in Logan Square as it contributes heavily to the character of the neighborhood.
Voting for the referendum was favorable, with a landslide of 92.6 percent of people agreeing that these zoning policies need to be established.
