The 606 and Chicago Park District will have telescopes set up at the Western elevated end of the 606 trail to bring in the vernal equinox (also known as the spring equinox) properly. This program is part of the Chicago Park District and the 606’s “For the Love of Stars” series.
People can of course, bring their own telescopes and attendees will also have the chance to win their own telescope and have a one-on-one session with an actual astronomer.
The event is set for 6pm and will carry on until 9pm.
