The city is a force to be reckoned with and it sort of has been for a while now. There are more things to be found in the city than there are in the suburbs and let’s face it, it’s more lively which is likely due to the larger population. The Chicago Tribune has a great article on why people just can’t seem to get enough of the city vibe.
Writer Melissa Harris also points out that you can tell it is the decade of the city because major corporations and companies like Sara Lee (which moved it’s headquarters from Downer’s Grove to the city) and Kraft (which moved their headquarters from Northfield to Aon Center) are moving closer and into the city.
