Take advantage of the homeowners exemption.

Are you taking advantage of the homeowners exemption? There are so many people that don’t take advantage and I want to make sure everyone I know is getting the discount they deserve. You can even qualify if you have a tenant in unit as long as you are responsible for paying taxes you can qualify.  Go to the Cook County assessors website to look up PIN and then go to the Cook County Treasurers site under payments to see your exemption.  You might even get check for prior years you have owned property.
