The beloved old Walgreens that once stood at the corner of Diversey and Pulaski has been closed since November and it seems like Binny’s, the vast liquor chain might be the ones to buy and remodel it according to this article by Paul Biasco. Neighboring Logan Square, members of the Hermosa Neighborhood Association met with Leonardo Giron to discuss the opening of the store last Thursday.
Although the usual concerns regarding the opening of a liquor store were present, the general reception to the store was positive seeing as the store is known for its high-end merchandise and good reputation and because the store will likely bring in many needed jobs to the area.
