On December 17, the city of Chicago’s new home-sharing regulations will take effect, cracking down on company’s like Airbnb, a site that let’s home/apartment owners rent out their space to incoming travelers.
901 residential building so far, totaling 88,993 units, have already put themselves on a list of properties that are off-limits to Airbnb according to this article in Crains. Although that number is a vast amount, it seems that the company is actually doing better than ever, having surged 56 percent from the year prior.
