Wicker Park is going to be the recipient of Chicago’s first bike counter which will be installed in front of a new apartment complex at 1237 N Milwaukee. According to this article by Alisa Hauser at dnainfo, the counter will be an 8.5 foot tall totem that will keep track of how many cyclists pass the area near Ashland and Milwaukee.
The design is pretty neat to, chosen by a poll where the majority liked this design now dubbed as the “Comic Book,” a design originally named “Enjoy the Ride” and created by Jay Bynes. Read more about this story at the link above.
