
There is a hefty plot of land between the loop and Chinatown that has virtually gone untouched since 2003. Related Midwest recently bought the 62 acre area that stretches roughly from Roosevelt Road to 16th Street and have plans of their own to redevelop it.
With thousands of homes and office and retail spaces to be constructed, the project will take 15 years or more for completion and will essentially bring an entirely new neighborhood to Chicago.
