Metropolitan Farms in Humboldt Park is Chicago’s newest aquaponics farm and greenhouse. They raise their own tilapia! They are sold for $4 per pound and the fish are sold whole.
The greenhouse where the 6 800-gallon tanks are kept is located at 4250 W Chicago and they have produce like herbs and romaine lettuce available as well. Customers place their order via email during the week and pick up day is Saturday.
