The Now Open Project, a company owned by Anshul Mangal, announced in late October that all five of their Firefin Poke locations were now closed. The chain was not doing well financially. People have been saying it for a while, Avondale is going to be one of the newest hot neighborhoods in Chicago. It’s no wonder too as it is flanked by Logan Square, still a booming locale. A four-story, 33-unit development is being planned for 3063-71 N. Milwaukee. There will be retail spaces as well within the development, although it’s uncertain whether units will be listed for sale or rent.
Lost Lake, the trendy tiki bar in Logan Square, has opened their kitchen back up for the first time since a fire that took place in March of 2016. According to this article in the Eater, a new Asian island-inspired menu created by Fred Noinaj has been added that is sure to entice your taste buds and, according to Noinaj, going to be at the same level as their amazing drinks menu.
